The history of the North Idaho Saddle Mule Club

The club was founded in January of 1976

We are proud to be in our 25th year

Our founding member were:

Skip Allert--- Bill Everle---Bob & Jackie Halfhide

Don Jacklin---Stan Jamison---Gayle Kiesz

Dick Waller---Larry Weber

A couple of these people were out riding their mule and decided to form a club.

They put and ad in the paper and the above people show up. That was 25 year

ago! Now we have over --------- families. We enjoy lots of activities with our

mule, including trail rides, packing, parade, showing, racing, and gymkhana

events.

The purpose of our club is to promote good fellowship among mule and other

hybrid aficionados, to encourage, promote and develop the owning,

and breeding of mules. We also want to educate the public in the recreational

possibilities and benefits of the saddle mule and other hybrids.
